This does not sound good. They have obviously received new information which leads them to the bunker. Maybe from someone who is facing charges? news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7496303.stmThe whole investigation has gone quiet lately. I can't help but think is that a good thing or bad? I was fully behind the SOJP when this investigation started. But some how I've started to lose faith. Not necessarily directly with the SOJP but with the whole system. 70 potential suspects and what do we have so far? Three suspects facing charges! With today's announcement, part of me thinks "Good, more evidence to put the swines away" and another part thinks "God I hope there is no more evidence of suffering"

The trouble is, how do you get enough evidence to prosecute successfully in a court of law, when it's just one (or even if it's more) person's word against another?
I still have every faith in LH & the SOJP's investigation. There is so much we don't know, I don't think anyone can reasonably pass judgement yet.

I have some experience of policing in Jersey and of the charging methods of our honorary force way back in the eighties. To say it was extremely amateurish would be putting it mildly! It was also highly frustrating and embarrassing to watch. I do hope its moved on from those days. But you can imagine officers building a case over months, if not years and then seeing it all come to practically naught: must be soul destroying! I think this particular centenier was put under extreme pressure from above. I can envisage two sides to this: the crown officers thought that there was insufficient evidence to secure a conviction (always a problem with sexual offenses/abuse) or there is a hidden agenda at the highest level within our establishment. I do hope its not the latter. But..................... The trouble is, how do you get enough evidence to prosecute successfully in a court of law, when it's just one (or even if it's more) person's word against another? I see your point but if there are enough complaints by a number of victims agianst one person then that could be enough to secure. One against one is almost impossible but say 6 against one becomes much more likely. No smoke without fire I suppose!

I see the Jersey Tory Mischiefmaker on another forum is spinning Lenny's retirement to make it sound like he's being kicked off the case! LOL

It has been noted and saved on file crappogre. Yet another cheap stunt to boost readership. It worked though. At least 10 people have come in to defend Lenny. It's good to see that he still has the support despite the establishment's attempts to undermine him. I saw him in town the other day as I was driving. I wish I'd stopped and shook his hand. I hope I have the opportunity to do so before he leaves. This whole investigation has possibly changed Jersey forever. A lot of people's eyes have been opened to the way things are done here. It is the states who have come under fire and close scrutiny in the past 5 months not Lenny Harper. The individual to which you refer to, has just been told to find himself a lawyer or prove it.

I get fed up with the constent knocking of Lenny Harper Makes me wonder why it happens. Maybe, *they* think abuse is no worse than public school bullying? "Didn't do us any harm, etc"

I question whether or not *they* have any concept of empathy.
Lenny Harper does not deserve this knocking.
