I've been going through some old photo's of what I believe are pics of Jersey from August 1977. Most, if not all of them are featureless (pics of random bits of coastline that will be impossible to identify today), except for one... It's on the link below. flic.kr/p/YLLL28It looks like a round stone built structure on a cliff face. I've made an attempt to find this and the nearest I've got is Portelet Tower? Can anyone verify this? Or is it something else? I would love to know. Clive

I think you're correct there. The next photo in the album 'Jersey_1970s_011_' appears to show portelet beach so would back this up. The previous pictures show the coatsline in that general area, that patch of hottentot fig in photo 008 might have covered that whole cliff by now!
