What do you think about stopping the old age bus pass for the 60 year old pensioner? TTS Minister Mike Jackson says that there is no room on the buses in the morning and evening rush hours because the old age bus pass people are taking up the room. He is thinking of stopping the bus pass until you reach 65 years of age. Until then you will have to pay to go on the bus.

Most places in Uk allow pensioners free travel ,but it is usually after peak hours . They have a nickname in some parts "Twirlies" -as in too early to use your bus pass "Twirlies"are people in possession of concessionary bus passes, passes that we're not allowed to use before 9am Monday to Friday (though we can at weekends and on public holidays). Hence the fact that we are often to be found turning up at the bus stop around nine of a morning and plaintively asking the driver: "Am I too early?"

I suppose if one is an old age pensioner getting up early enough to catch a bus before 9 o'clock is not really on. I would welcome the lie in ever morning and catch a later bus that would not be full up hence i would have a seat.
