Antisocial skateboarders

I wouldn't want to be a killjoy, I can tolerate a skateboarder passing by (and I think various 'lite' forms of transport currently illegal should be encouraged, from rollerblades up to Segways or motorised skateboards) but surely, even the kids themselves would have to admit, if pressed to think about it, that hanging around making a racket in a carpark right next to flats is a noise nuisance for living nearby?

I believe there's a strong case for a new zero tolerance policing policy, with on the spot confiscation of the boards. That might focus their young minds onto using the new skate park instead...........

The other day one boy was skateboarding down the main road along Rue de Genets holding up all the traffic because nobody wanted to over take him. How crazy is that when the payement is about 4 foot wide and nobody on it.
