Watched an interesting programme earlier BBC2 presented by Janet Street-Porter about the difficulties Newspapers are finding themselves in. They acknowledge the loss of revenue as a result of more and more people getting their news sources from the web,and are attempting to adapt to this change in many ways.Worth a watch if it is showed again or on media player (part of a series.) On that note, would like to draw your attention to a couple of local blogs who are doing their bit to produce and report alternative news ,that the mainstream Jersey media are afraid of tackling. Have managed to get some excellent interviews with Jersey politicians. voiceforchildren.blogspot.com/sister blog voiceforjersey.blogspot.com/

These are both very interesting blogs that I personally follow, Voice for Children is doing a great job. Goodness there is so much jersey news out there that never gets reported on by our local media, and a huge gap for people to fill on the net. Senator Stuart Syvret's blog has made for mind blowing reading the last few blog entries have been real eye openers! The Jersey Evening Post has actually been improving, I hope they keep improving! I have just popped some of my own news up on my blog, if the local media want to follow up on it they only have to contact me, lol, I'm not hard to find and most of them know me anyway. Ryan will enjoy reading this one lcorby.wordpress.com/2009/02/05/senator-terry-le-main-a-jersey-channel-islands-minister-spits-out-the-dummy-part-2/Well I am off to bed now night, night (or as Senator Terry Le Main would say nite nite, yuk that makes me want to scratch.)

Citizen media must be doing something right ,if Channel report felt compelled to do an item on this evenings edition . why do certain states members want to clamp down on what is basically a freedom of speech issue? They are asking the sort of questions Joe Public is wanting answers to. Surely alternative views are good,we need balance to the exsisting media sources. What is it that they are really afraid of
