The JRA are holding an AGM upstairs at the Peirson on Tue 3rd Feb at 8pm. Prospective members are invited to come. If you believe Jersey is already a free and fair society, you woudn't see the point, though!

Ok, good luck with that. Can I ask though, would you be able to give a brief recap of the JRA's achievements to date, so we can judge whether they're worth joining or supporting? Thanks

I second crappogre's comments. What do they do, what do they stand for and what impact do they have on the government?
I have no faith in things over here. As for free and fair that doesn't exist anywhere on the planet. In my honest opinion Jersey is backward, poorly regulated in areas that count, run by vested interests for vested interests, and a basic embarrassement to the 21st century. If you took politics, rich people and finance away I believe Jersey would be much nicer and better to live in. However as we have to have so called progress I expect things to carry on getting much worse until everything collapses, then we will be left to pick up the pieces while those who are able flee to pastures new and carry on their business there.

Go to jerseyrights.org/ for what the Jersey Rights Association are about. Pressure groups influence rather than achieve, just like web fora, and you are here doing that. Our biggest recent achievement was being one of the biggest bricks in the wall of protest the dreadful first draft of the NPO Registration regulations ran into, leading to a much better final version.

But, have you considered sorting that hair out?
