I heard some where that the return the fund mangers were returning on the rainy day or never to be touched pot of gold fund, current credit crunch aside, was pretty damn poor somewhere in the order of 3%-4% now I'm no rocket scientist or speller but how about we put a little of that cash into developing property for the private sector, an amount of the potential profits could cross subsidies either new states housing refurbishments or sensible and practical shared equity....... or stuff it on the isle of man as our new illustrious leader has suggested its safer there or maybe stuff it in the mattress.......... any finance workers out there or BBC or ITV Journo's who might be tempted to dig out the figures and ask a few pointed questions ........ i wont hold my breathe..............
