Rob Shipley is sticking his oar in again in the rag today, with a dig at the tiny audience for Jerermy's meeting at the parish hall. He interprets that as apathy - sorry Mr S but I interpret that as everybody thought the media's attempts at bullying muck raking were overblown and irrelevant.
I also noticed a page the other day of photos of the newcomers to the chamber - with Jeremy being conspicuously left out. And Stuart was shown reading the paper!
We can see through it, you know.

Thank you for your support, it's so good to be communicating with people that aren't media sheep. I have been out and about in the district and people are totally unconcerned with the media hype. They love Jeremy and are coming up and talking to me and shaking my hand so I interpret that as support. Did you see Frank's comment during his IoD speech ie "my speeches aren't written by Jeremy Macon's mother"? I replied "To Mrs Walker's husband - If I did write your speeches Franck, 2 PR people would be out of a job and the taxpayers would save £250K annually" - needless to say they zapped my reply.........so much for the right to reply....!!

Nellie forums like this and Blogs are where the real media is now.You will find not many believe a word they read in the rag or watch on rankine television. Jeremy has good support from the online community and the communtity at large. You know when you're getting slagged by the Walker media you're doing something right.....keep it up

I thought I heard Frank say on the BBC interview today ,that he often bounced political ideas to his wife Fi ? so what's the difference?

Amusing to see Geoff get his comeuppance on telly last night. "Waaah, nobody elected me! No fair!!"
Nobody likes a sore loser act, Geoff, get over it.

Well, if Geoff gets his come-uppance over this voting issue, I won't be too bothered.......
But, apart from the issue of registration forms versus actual voting forms, and, will such actions have influenced those voters to vote for them? (and is that significantly different to knocking on doors and chatting one-to-one with voters anyway?)....... ..... I will admit there's an important difference between breaking a law you disagree with, surreptitiously, hoping you get away with it, and making an open and honest stand against a law you earnestly believe is very wrong in an attempt to draw attention to that injustice.
For that reason, I believe the calls for resignations are wrong. It's not as if they've been caught out as such. If anything, the matter would ideally be settled by The House voting for their continued presence there........ but we all know how that would turn out - the Establishment relishing the chance to get rid, regardless of the actual issue at hand!

I don't agree with breaking the law but we all knew this law was designed to hurt the JDA election effort and is a really stupid law - don't know how it ever got passed - well, yes I do as of course there is such an anti-JDA feeling in the house that they'd pass anything to hurt them.
Geoff and Shona would certainly have still got in even without these few votes so to call for them to resign is stupid. TLM should look at his own criminal record before calling for others to resign as he's not exactly squeaky clean himself!
Geoff might not always be the easiest of people to deal with but I believe he and others like him make a valuable contribution to the house through their fearlessness and excellent background research - sometimes they get a little excited but everyone's human - just up to the more middle ground members to even things up a bit.

www.statesassembly.gov.je/frame.asp you can look up how everyone voted - the only difficulty is sometimes when it's on points of law it's hard to see exactly what bit they're voting on so you have to go onto the gov.je website and look that up first but it's not too hard. Very interesting to see the pattern of voting emerging already with the new members - you will find it just about as you would expect and most of the newbies are voting in accordance with their manifestos.
