Hey - you are not wrong. They are doing a refurb. The Northern Area of the famous Liverpool Pier Head, is expected to open at the end of November and the area around the newferry terminal in Spring 2009.
The Liverpool Canal Extension Link (canal that runs from Liverpool to Leeds - length 127 miles) will also open in Spring 2009 when narrowboats will be able to pass across Pier Head.

The Liver Building is very beautiful,no wonder the Waterfront is classed as a Unesco site. Doubt somehow our Waterfront will ever receive any accolades,apart from the ones who design and pass it .
