Apparently part of his campaign was a survey to see what parishioners thought on various topics. What a brilliant idea! If you're going to go to all the effort to print something up and deliver it to every voter, why not allow people to tick some boxes or put comments on it and send it back? I think we'll be seeing more of that in 3 years time by any candidates wishing to appear to be listening to the electorate. Smart move from a smart man....... well done Mr (Deputy Elect) Wimberley!

Well done Mr Wimberley and Montfort, Jeremy and Trevor Congratulations to Daniel, Monty, Tracy, Jeremy and Trevor. Commiserations to Suzette and The two Nicks .You worked very hard and all of you would have been a great asset in the States. If any one dares to say to me that voting does not make a difference, will remind them of Suzette, and the fact that we lost an opportunity to elect a person, who would have worked hard for the Island . Your vote does matter, we need to engage the majority of those who have been so disenfranchised with the previous make up of the States Members, to take an interest ,to realise that there are many people out there who will listen ,and have our interests at heart . Hopefully we may get to engage with the youth as well, as they have been forgotten along the way. A historic day in Jersey politics for many reasons .

I am torn between contradictory feelings ...
On the one hand, I am very excited about Monty, Tracey, Jeremy, Daniel, Trevor, Geoff, Shona, Debbie getting elected (and there were some others) and about Guy de Faye and Jacqui Huet getting booed out.
However, I am also disappointed about Suzette Hase, Nick Palmer and especially Gil Blackwood not getting in. Nick and Gil, what the heck were the electorate thinking ? Have they got so used to having States members with very little intelligence that (and please, I am not generalising because we do have some very good ones) - now that they had the opportunity to vote in intelligent people, they just didn't know how to do it ! Really, really sad ! And then, Ben Fox in with ONE lousy vote ! I think Suzette would have been a real asset to the States ! But no, the electorate decides to vote in Mr "Haven't done much", Mr "soft option".
I sincerely hope we haven't seen the last of these three people !

Will always be dissapointments.Overall the results were very encouraging for the progressive candidates. I too hope those who did not succeed this time, will use their skills in other ways ,until such a time as they can stand again .

The Chinese spam coming from 123.120.71.192 will just get deleted - don't waste your time Nearly had a post then often wonder what is in it for those sorts of spammers? Does anyone actually respond and buy Fake Viagra or any other combination of trash they spam? How do they get paid and is it on results or take up ?
