Belgravia goes into liquidation

Liquidators have been appointed to manage the affairs of the Belgravia Financial Services Group in Jersey.

Funds held by the company were put into suspension by the Financial Services Commission earlier this year when Belgravia became insolvent.

Bound to be a few casulaties, although the island is probably insulated from the worst of it as the finance activities here are quite removed from the bits that are causing the current tribulations in the banking world.

Not to say it won't be a bit bumpy, mind.

Seeing as we have most of our eggs in one basket with the finance industry, we will in fact be in a much worse position than elsewhere. You have simply swallowed the appallingly misleading Ozouf/Maclean spin and hype.
