I've been shown a flyer for this person's election as a Deputy for St. Helier Districts 3 & 4.
Surely a bit soon? The Deputy elections are 2 1/2 months away. Is she doing the right thing?

Well, I suppose it never hurts to get your name known as soon as possible, rather than rush it in the final weeks. But it's far too early to begin a full-blown campaign, for sure.

It is always good to see any new candidate coming out and just might encourage more people to vote.
Is is too soon? I don't think it would be if she was to get as much exposure as poss for the next 2/12 months on internet forums and blogs which cost nothing and gets people talking about you (no such thing as bad press as they say)
If certain predictions are correct and any or all of the GST28's seats are up for grabs then she's in with a shot.
In her district she has John (GST28) Fox, Jaqueline (GST28) Huet and Guy (GST28) De Faye

Yes I'd like to think of myself as a good sort! Have been working alongside Alan Breckon for the last couple of years - seen what is expected of a Deputy, workload, procedures, system, Committees, Scrutiny etc and as Consumer Council Officer know the REAL cost of living. Have a lot of public contact with my job, many of whom I help or advise, I have a good feel as to what people are really worried about and think that I have what it takes to make a positive contribution. Overpriced, overdevelopment with a potential developer who is in hot water more times than the BBC and who has the arrogance to start to look for lodgings for 500 of THEIR workers and at a time when Jersey needs affordable homes over office space. Retract Retract Retract
