In the rag the other night it was reported that vandalism crime figures in the Quennevais area plummetted downwards on the graph during the time they ran a youth football scheme there.
It strikes me as pretty obvious that now they know who the offenders must have been, they should bill them for all the damage around there in the last few years ;D

I've never had any sympathy with the States regarding the situation at Quennevais, it's just another reflection of how inept certain Ministers are.
The figures would have dropped 5 years ago had they "wasted" money on security up there. Look at the area that gets targeted, nothing more than a field with a building next to it. It's shamefully pathetic that they haven't got a grip.
I believe the reason for inaction is quite simply that the sports centre is bordered by a housing estate, and is not somewhere the average Minister ever sets foot. If it were located somewhere a little more "select", maybe next door to the residence of one of our millionaire Ministers, the problem would have been addressed when it first raised its head ten years ago.
