LOL... I just hope people keep irritating Matthew Price by calling him Matty P ... all in John's memory of course, hehe

If anyone falls for those bribes, come this election they'll get exactly the government they deserve....and in my view forfeit any right of future complaint.

Channel Report showed a number of people last night being asked about the removal of GST from food, and sadly I was left with the impression that the bulk of them would happily vote for the very individuals who foisted GST upon us because "they were really kind in removing it", y'know?

The current bunch have addressed GST, and funding for childcare. These are two topics that I'm sure would have featured in most prospective candidate's mission statements.

What I'll be looking for is the scope of different, and perhaps original, topics for us to consider.

Current housing regulations ,and the artificial supply and demand situation that they create.
Population levels ,which is also related to the housing regulations.
Review of social security,which is obviously not working at present.
Full riights for all members of society ,whether they are children ,foreign workers,those without housing qualifications .
Open and transparent Government ,which is something that has been lacking .
Reforms to the Justice system .
Alternatives to the finance industry .(If Obama gets in ,might happen quicker than we think .)
Changes to the Health and dental system .
Parishes to be more accountable to the rate payers,and to pay a bigger part in our lives .
Greener society .
Alternatives to the incinerator
More accountability of public servants.
Change the mindset culture of of greed and profit .
Will that do for starters ?
