"Jersey: world leaders" watch

One of my bugbears of reading the Jersey Evening Post is the formulaic story that begins "Jersey leads the way in..." So I thought we could have a "Jersey leads the way" watch to flag up whenever the phrase rears its ugly head.

The first example is ironic, rather than genuine - a beautifully tongue-in-cheek letter in today's Evening Post...

I'd forgotten we had this thread.

"WORLD CLASS" savings scheme.

And yet there is no mention of it anywhere except on thisisjersey.

waffle waffle 'centre of excellence'........always got me. (emphasis on 'got me' because I don't read that rag anymore.)

I recall at one point, there was a proposal to convert the old JCG building into a nursery school.... sorry re-prase.... 'a centre of excellence nursery school'

....oh well, that makes it just so much better then.

Hang on..... whose the child-care provider?
