This forum has been founded upon a policy of honesty and openess.
It has no political agenda, hidden or otherwise. Unlike some forums, the staff have no political aspirations and no official ties to any political party. This is a forum by ordinary people for ordinary people, nothing else.
The purpose of this forum is simply to provide a place for free speech, to honestly reflect the views of islanders.
There will never be any manipulation of discussion, or self-serving censorship, by staff on this forum.
And though staff members have their own personal political views, they're not here to tell you what to think, they're not here to tell you how to think it. If you don't agree with a staff member's point of view, don't be afraid to tell them so.
And what about rules? Well, when it comes to rules and moderation, we at The Jersey Forum strongly believe that people should be treated as people, not as faceless screenames to be jostled and juggled at the whim of some keyboard Rambo with a Moderator's badge. All moderation here will be fair, open and unbiased.
And please remember, the Moderators primary purpose is to ensure the forum experience remains a pleasant and enjoyable one for all, to help you should you have problems using the forum, and to enforce the rules. They are here to work for you, not against you.
